We recently had a CLAY leaders meeting to plan our upcoming Crash Worship Night (Nov 19) as well as other upcoming gatherings. We would love for you and your group to join us in the near future:

CLAY on MISSION Letter to Leaders

Dear Youth Pastor CLAY’s mission is to “connect Christian Missionary Alliance churches in the Chicagoland area through annual events focusing on discipleship, unity, and living out Christ’s Great Commission.”

We have created three events to support this mission: Winter Camp, Crash, and Praise in the Park. Our original event (Praise in the Park) has been revitalized: “CLAY on MISSION”. The purpose of this event is a missions serving experience in Chicago area Alliance Churches.

On August 20th, we will gather together at 7:55AM at Bloomingdale Church (264 Glen Ellyn Road in Bloomingdale). To start the event off we will have a 45 minute worship and prayer time where we will also cast a vision to prepare everyone for the day. Then we will be heading to various Alliance Churches in the Chicagoland area (8:45AM), arriving around 10:00AM. (Churches will be mixes together at the various serving locations). At 12:30 we will be taking an hour for lunch, devotions, and a time for prayer. At 3:30 we will head back to Bloomingdale Church for a time to hang out and feast! After our BBQ dinner, we will pray together for our various sites and receive a challenge to continue to serve in our own communities. We will conclude at 7:00PM.

As with all our CLAY events, we would love to have your Alliance church youth group join us. This event is open to Jr High and High School students. We encourage you to bring at least one leader for every six students.

Winter Camp 2010

We are excited to announce that our next Winter Camp will be with six Chicagoland Alliance Churches, including both Jr High and High School. (We’re hoping for 150 people!) Our theme, PUSH BACK, will challenge us to consider Christ’s declaration to be His light in dark places. Our speaker, James Grout, breakout small groups, and worship experiences will give us an opportunity to reflect on what Christ is saying to us personally. Other highlights include: going to our favorite camp Expeditions Unlimited, tubing, riding a coach bus together, hanging out in the cabin, climbing wall, snow games, and hanging out with our friends.

Permission is due no later than January 30th.

At Praise in the Park 2010 we discovered what “screamo” worship is like. It was a new experience for many. But we were glad to have tried out something new.

And its always great to hang out with friends from other churches.
